Christmas: Temple Square

We have an annual tradition to go downtown to Temple Square and see the Christmas lights and to hear the high school choirs sing! We love it! We always go with the Wood Family, our neighbors and our long time friends!

We had a crazy snow storm yesterday and on the way home from work I had to take a co-worker to the airport and it took me 3 HOURS to drive home and it is only a 30 minute drive! But we bundled up and went for our night downtown and it was so beautiful! It was COLD but the lights and the snow....Wow! We had a lot of fun. We had reservations to eat at the Roof Restaurant at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and it overlooks Temple Square and the Salt Lake Temple...the view is breathtaking! We took some pictures while we were downtown with all the Christmas decorations!

Celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary

We just got back from our trip to Mexico where we celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We went to the Excellence Riviera, it's an all inclusive Adults only, 5 Star resort. It was wonderful. We were there during Hurricane Dolly but it was only 1 day and the rest was picture perfect!

We felt very pampered there, the food was AWESOME, it was so much fun to just be there, relax alot, spend time on the beach and float on the lazy river in the evenings!!!!

We loved our 7 nights there but it's always good to be home.....I'm grateful for my sweetheart and the fun we always have together. I love being with him!!!

Seriously....who cares! We both LOVE food!

He did. He told me "Ofa Atu" over the phone but wouldn't tell me what it mean't for a couple of days! (Cute huh???)

We both don't sing good, but we love to sing!!!

It's me....Henry doesn't even know what a temper is! He is so mild mannered and always so happy and positive!

I do the dishes! He will claim that he "helps" but it's only once in a while!

I cook. Henry's idea of cooking is Wendy's or ordering in Pizza!

We both do.

Henry does....he has an AMAZING family and I love them.

As you can see, I'm married to a wonderful man. I love him so much and I'm lucky to be his eternal companion!

We finally did it! We broke down and had our family photo taken. We did it just a few days before David left on his mission, but we did it!

2 Months and Counting

It's almost exactly 2 months until Brian and Hilary will be married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They can hardly wait. It's been hard on them because Hilary lives about 40 minutes north of our home so there has been ALOT of driving back and forth. They can't wait until the day that they can finally stay together! Brian constantly has a smile on his face and is happiest when his sweetie is sitting on the couch next to him and they are watching their favorite show, "America's Next Top Model". We recently had a family picture and because of our 2 additions to our family (Mike and Hilary) we really looked good!!! ha ha.
As parents we feel so blessed that our children have chosen such wonderful companions!

Waiting for our 1st Email

Today we should get our 1st email from our son that is the MTC preparing to serve his mission to Samoa. I can hardly wait to hear from him. He's been gone for 2 weeks and I miss him terribly!

Back Again!

I had my blog and then I was adding some stuff it it and got an error and WHAM the next day my blog was deleted. I don't know what happened but I had to start all over again.
